Dr. John M. Burchfield grew up in Golden, Colorado. He attended Ralston Elementary, Bell Middle School, and Golden High School where he graduated with honors in 1988. He spent his college undergraduate years at the University of Arizona in Tucson, and received his Bachelor of Science diploma in Chemistry with honors in 1992. Dr Burchfield continued his chemistry education at the University of Denver where he gained a Master of Science degree in Chemistry in 1994. Dr Burchfield attended the University of Colorado Dental School, and graduated in the top third of his class in 1998 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree.

Outside the office, Dr Burchfield cherishes spending time with his family; his wife Jennifer, and two daughters, Charlotte and Lydia. He also loves to travel, golf, hike and ski.

He is a member of the Metro Denver Dental Society, Colorado Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. Dr. Burchfield has been awarded the Delta Dental Certificate of Excellence from 2006 to the present. Dr. Burchfield has also been recognized with the Colorado Gerontological Society Award.

It is of utmost importance to Dr. Burchfield to maintain the highest levels of excellence in his practice by taking Continuing Education courses yearly.

Dr. Lauren Ballew is originally from Atlanta, Georgia. She attended the University of Georgia to earn her Bachelors of Science in Biology, and also spent time at Oxford University studying Biomedical Ethics. She then attended University of Alabama at Birmingham to receive her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry, graduating at the very top of her class. 

Dr. Ballew met her fiancé during dental school, and upon graduating, they knew they wanted to move to the beautiful state of Colorado. Dr. Ballew and her fiancé enjoy hiking, pickleball, traveling, and trying new restaurants. 

Dr. Ballew is a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.  She puts a strong emphasis on patient comfort, clear communication, and preventative care, and could not be more excited to join the Golden community.
